My all time favourite English Songs...

Posted by astuti at 3:59 PM 6 comments
I'd written a blog sometime back on Forgotten Hindi melodies of the 90's and many anonymous readers leaving comments, requested for a list of English numbers too... So now, by popular demand, here's my list of English Classics (or what I call so :) ).

These twenty songs are simply, in my "all time favourites" folder, on my I POD, and are not in any specific order:

Neil Diamond's I can see clearly now: Johny Nash, Jimmy Cliff and many others, this song has been sung by many singers and is a great number. The song's got extremely optimistic lyrics, an unabashedly upbeat tempo and a quick sustained crescendo. Feel free to hear it when you need a mood upliftment... It works!

Nelly Furtado's I'm like a Bird is her signature song and there's a freedom about it that's totally lovable. Every woman has to hear it and sing it to herself in front of the mirror- it does wonders to the self esteem! :)

Every breath you take by The Police has been something I have literally grown up on... I think, it definitely had a hand in defining my idea of passion. The die-hard passion in this song, is something that should be considered biblical... The lyrics are the words of a sinister, controlling character, who is watching everything his lover does- it's about unrequited love and about the obsession with the lost lover and let's not forget the jealousy and surveillance that followed!

Another day in paradise by Phil Collins, is a soft, slow number about homelessness (if that's a word!) that's completely heart touching. A simple yet lovely number.

Save the best for last by Venissa Williams has already been blogged about, so I'll just leave you with the link... :)

http://astutalks.blogspot.com/2008/09/save-best-for-last.html

I heard Michael Learns to Rock when I was in class 5 and loved it. At that time, in my child-like glory, I believed it was what's popularly classified as the"Rock Genre"! Hence Paint my love was my all-time-favourite rock song! :P However I have grown tonnes since then and now know the difference; but the song still remains, up there, in my favourites list!

Bryan Adams is the first international concert I attended and so to me all his songs are like 'spoken by thee himself'! But Cloud Number 9 and Everything I do are a part of his "Best of Me" collection, which speaks for itself and does not need any other introduction! Also, Everything I do, was the first song sung to me and so has its very own special memories.

Father figure by George Michael is a sharp and sensual tale of seduction. Its kinnda obsessive in places and the video has always confused me to the exact nature of the relation between the cab driver and the model/ diva! All in all, I'll say, hear it and loouuu it.

Celine Dion has been influenced by genres ranging from rock and R&B to gospel and classical and her songs are known to address romance, happiness and melancholy.  While I know most men find her music soppy, I believe, That's the way it is and Because you loved me, are her finest tracks. While former is a great mood-lifter (read happiness) the latter is the best thing that can be said to anyone in your family... Dad, hubby, bro- it sure is a tribute for the encouragement they give without question!

You're still the one by Shania Twain is an ode to the union between a lover and her man. Here she explains how she is glad they did not listen to the critics, as, if they had done, look at what they could have been missing. Its a lovely thing to say to someone you've been in love with forever! :)

Ahhhmmmm, this blog is becoming way too long, so I'd rather not add my own two lines about my other happy-mood-songs. Here's the list:
The way you love me by Faith Hill
Love today by Mika
The Animal Song by Savage Garden
Ordinary Day by Dolores O Riordan
Stranger things have happened by Foo fighters
Soak up the sun by Shery Crow
Life is a rollercoaster by Ronan Keating
Nothing else matters by Metallica
In the end by Linkin' Park
We didn't start the fire and Uptown girl by Billy Joel
and Frozen by Madonna

I'll end it at that... but I promise if there's an addition to this list, you'll be the first to know!

And to all you anonymous commentors, I'd say, hope I lived up to your expectation... Ofcourse you are free to leave your anonymous comments, yet again!

But P.S: FYI, I don't bite! :)

A personal look on the song "Tu Jaane Na... "

Posted by astuti at 1:53 AM 0 comments
I love the lyrics of this song... My favourite part of the song is the sufi style chorus that's repeated thrice in the song. It's my latest awwww moment and I find it totally heart melting!

The basics: Composed by Pritam and sung by our very own Pakistani- Piscean singer Atif Aslam, the lyrics are by Irshad Kamil & Ashish Pandit (the new masters in town).

The feelings: Any and everyone who has ever 'loved and lost' will identify with the feeling. The beat takes sometime to get into your blood but once it does, it stays. The complete desperation of the lost-lover is so amazingly obvious here. Be it the fact that the singer's voice is so full of pain or the fact that his biggest desperation comes from the fact that he doesn't understand how to make things better. To top it all, it's every lover's worst nightmare; that his love doesn't even know about his feelings... It is a low, lower than low... actually an epitome of a new low all together!

The film: I have already written an extensive review on the film. (http://astutalks.blogspot.com/2009/11/apkgk-movie-review.html ) But this song in the film  gives you a mixed reaction. Ranbir doesn't come across as all that desperate after all. Emotions are not his forte yet! So while he excels at all scenes comedy and fun, his facial expression borders on weird here. But having said that it sure does make a great background score...

Kaise batayein kyun tujhko chahe yaara bata na paaye

Baatein dilo ki dekho jo baaki akey' tujhe samjhaye

Baatein dilo ki dekho jo baaki akey' tujhe samjhaye
Tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na

Nigahon mein dekho meri jo hai bas gaya
Woh hai milta tumse hubahu
Ooo jaane teri aankhein thi ya baatein ki wajah
Huea tum jo dil ki aarzoo
Tum paas ho ke bhi tum aas ho ke bhi

Khayalon mein lakhon baatein yun tu keh gaya
Bola kuch na tere samne
Ooo huea na be-gaane bhi tum hoke aur ke
Dekho tum na mere hi bane
Afsos hota hai dil bhi yeh rota hai
Sapne sanjota hai pagla hua soche yeh
Hum the mile tumse na jaane kyun
Meelon ke hain faasle tum se na jaane kyun
Anjaane hai silsale Tum se na jaane kyun
sapne hai Palkon tale tum se na jaane kyun

Kaise batayein kyun tujhko chahe yaara bata na paaye
Baatein dilo ki dekho jo baaki akey' tujhe samjhaye
Tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na

Tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na

Feel free to listen to it and make your own opinion... :)

APKGK: A Movie Review

Posted by astuti at 2:43 AM 3 comments

Prem (Ranbir) is a happy go lucky fun loving chap staying in a small town (ooty actually). But problems follow him everywhere as we see from frame one . Prem along with his friends runs a ‘Happy Club’ which believes in joining lovers (even when they have to be kidnapped). Naturally our hero saab loses his heart to our heroine madam who is the new girl in town- Jenny (Katrina). After loads of bollywood melodrama and hindi songs we are shown that its not a straight love story after all, coz our heroine loves one Rahul (Upen) and wants to elope and get married to him. Prem (in true hindi-sacrifice-your-love-style) decides to bring the two lovers together. But complications arise further. What happens after this, forms the rest of this fun filled entertainer.

The songs, need one ask, are truly hummable! Pritam’s done it yet again... Tera hone laga hoon is absolutely beautiful and has quite a huge fan following on most social network sites. Prem ki naiya is the perfect fun song that is picturized to completely entertain... Tu jaane na nah, will be the slow-big-hit-sensation of the flick, which will catch on once people watch the movie.

The Katrina-Ranbir pair is cute, totally- young, stylish, happening and look absolutely great together! There is something about the good looking people coming together, that makes good chemistry. Their on-screen romance is completely endearing and you come out wanting to see the couple together again-and-again! A definite winner.
Raj Kumar Santoshi has attempted a rom-com and has got somethings right...
One, the romance is a sure shot livewire. Two, the film makes you laugh your heart out. Most importantly, the on-screen chemistry is electrifying. Ranbir and Katrina look nothing but great together. (move on Akshay and look out Sallu bhai!)
As for the cast, both Ranbir and Katrina, I repeat, make a wonderful fresh jodi as they share a crackling chemistry. Upen Patel needs to stop acting (seriously!) and is awful as competition to Ranbir. There is not even an iota of doubt in your mind, and you know from the moment you see him, that there is no way KK will go for him. Darshan Jhariwala and Smita Jaykar playing Ranbir’s parents are first-rate amazing. Darshan has always excelled in comedy and this role’s tailor made for him. His comic timing whether he’s screaming or repeating his dialogues are truly hillarious.
"Ajab is the kahaani of Prem, but is it gazab?" is the one thought that does strike you towards the end... but you walk out all smiles, knowing you have just seen a simple, clean, romantic film after ages (all bollywood glory in-tact).

And so finally my verdict is... Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani with shades of comedy & loads of fun; is definitely watchable & highly hummable!
So guys, go for it and don’t forget to take your girlfriend along. :)

The New Lux Commercial!

Posted by astuti at 6:35 PM 0 comments

The first time I heard about the commercial was when it made news for being the most expensive celebrity endorsement, almost 3 weeks back! "Abhi-Ash make cash!" was what most news channels reported! And with a whooping 25 crores, I wondered what would the Ad men do differently this time! Afterall, there's only so much you can do with celebrities in a commercial eh? But it was the first time Abhi-Ash came together in an endorsement, so my curiosity was definitely piqued!

And then I saw the commercial... and I liked what I saw (or should I say heard)! For me, what stood out most was the music- "Soney se bhi sona lagey, Salona mera yaar hain!" Composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, specifically for the commercial, its a simple track, amazingly composed in a very desi-sufi-style which touches your heart strings.
The naughty, playful and charming way in which the celebrity couple is shot in this ad film is cute no doubt. Their love story has been shown in a different- young at heart kinnda way, which will appeal to young and the romantic everywhere. They create another epitome of the beauty they symbolize which will make many a woman swoon for the puuuurfect love in their lives too.
Personally I felt that the facial expressions look repetitive. It feels like you have seen both Abhi and Ash do this a million times (almost like deja-vu). But the set sure is beautiful and the lighting creates the mood very well... All in all a great execution but the jury's still out on "What's different to make it worth 25 crores exactly?"

Down Memory lane... the forgotten melodies of the 90's!

Posted by astuti at 8:51 PM 8 comments
I have been spending some of my time going through my old archives of hindi songs... and I realised just how long its been since I heard some of these long-forgotten-melodies that still bring smile to my face. So here is my small reminder for all of you who loved the songs in the 90s; but have't found the time to go through your archives... :) They are not in any order of preferences, just the way I found them...

Chanda suraj laakhon taare hain jab tere hi yeh saare
Kis baat par hothi hai phir thakraarein
Keenchi hai lakkeere is jameen pe par na keencho dekho
Beech mein do dilon ke yeh deewaarein

I love this song. Gurus of Peace is simply magical! I have often thought this song would be perfect as a choreography for any annual day function- performed by 5 to 6 year olds dressed as flowers... :)

Chura Lo Na Dil Mera Sanam
Bana Lo Na Apna Sanam
Ki Tere Bin Na Ji Sakenge
Ki Tere Bin Na Mar Sakenge
Kuchh Bhi Na Kar Sakenge.

To me this song from Kareeb, has always been the epitome of Innocence, or should I call it puppy-love? The way the song's been picturized only adds on to the mood and smiles... :)

Is Deewane Ladke Ko, Koi Samjhaye
Pyar Mohabbat Se Na Jaane,
Kyun Yeh GhabrayeDard-E-Dil, Jaane Na,
Paas Maein Jitna Aaun
Utni Door Yeh Jaaye, Jaaye, Haan Jaaye
Is Deewane Ladke Ko, Koi Samjhaye...
'Don't mind' but this is one of my favourite Aamir Khan movies, I think he did a fab job and I loved the interesting way in which this song was picturized.

Dil mein sanam ki surat,
Ankhon mein ashiqui de
Mere khuda mujhe tu ek aur jindagi de

Maybe Phir teri kahaani yaad ayi, didn't do that well as a film, but this song did create some heartfelt sighs!

Is tarah ashiqui kaa asar chod jaoonga
tere chehre pe apni nazar chod jaoonga..
main deewana ban gaya hoon ,
kaisee yeh muhabbat hai jindagi se badhke
ab mujhe teri jarurat hai mujhko tu chahiye ,
tera pyar chahiye, ek nahi sau baar chahiye ...

One of Kumar Sanu's melodies... For some reason me like it... :)

Jeeye to jeeye kaise.. bin aapke
lagta nahi dil kahin.. bin aapke...

This song from the movie Saajan was one of 90s specials! It says many things quite simply, I love the simple lyrics of the song which leaves quite a romantic impact!

Chaha to bahut na chahein tumhein
chahat pe magar koi zor nahi
dil he to hai tumpe aa he gaya
dil kaa magar kusur nahi

Nice melody, slow number... It's a song that has to be heard alone preferably with lights off.

Dil Ne Kaha Chupke Se
Ye Kya Hua Chupke Se
Kyon Naye Lag Rahe Hain Ye Dharti Gagan
Maina Poochha To Boli Ye Pagli Pawan
Pyaar Hua Chupke Se
Ye Kya Hua Chupke Se
1942, A love story was a very very cute movie with lots of lovely songs... Every song in this movie is worth mentioning here, but I loved Chupke se the most, for its surreal picturization.

Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi Mein Aana
Dheere Dheere Se Mere Dil Ko Churaana
Tum Se Pyaar Humein Kitna Hai Jaane Jaana
Tumse Milkar Tumko Hai Bataana
Who can forget Aashiqui- the sensation of our 90s days! This song captures a nice emotion and it does it very well! Really nice melody.

Adaye bhee hain,
mohabbat bhee hain,
Sharaafat bhee hain,
mere mehaboob mein
Woh deewaanaapan
wo jaalim adaa,
Sharaarat bhee hain,
mere mehaboob mein

No matter what people said about the movie's originality, this beautiful number from Dil hain ki manta nahi was an original melody. Very neat! Very awwwww... :)

Badi mushkil hai, khoya mera dil hai
Koi usse dhoondke laaye na
Badi mushkil hai, khoya mera dil hai
Koi usse dhoondke laaye na
Jaake kahan main rapat likhaaoon
Koi batlaaye na
Main roun ya hasoon, karoon main kya karoon

Anjaam was not really a great film, but its saving grace was this song- highly hummable and really neat!

Tum aaye to aaya mujhe yaad,
gali mein aa chaand nikla
Jaane kitne dinon ke baad
gali mein aa chaand nikla .

Pooja Bhatt proved her acting skills in this movie. Zakhm is a lovely movie and this song is just so heart touching! It captures the lady's joy and the kid's sceptism really well. One of my personal favourite!

Okay, I end here. I know I haven't mentioned the DDLJs and the Hum Aapke hain kauns of the world here. Believe me when I say it was deliberate. The songs of the big banners of the film world, aren't forgotten and hence don't deserve a space in this write-up. This is just my small way of reminding you about the songs that have been left behind! I'm sure I have left loads more... So feel free to comment and help me remember!

Let's wake up and start reminiscing! :)

Blog News!

Posted by astuti at 12:04 PM 5 comments

I have made some much-required-changes in my blog. As you can immediately see- the design and over all look has changed. I was feeling particularly creative this last week, so I spent some time designing a header or what I like to call blog-logo. I also changed the basic template of this blog (and my others).

For sometime now, I have been feeling that I don’t receive too many feedbacks on things I write, so to help matters I have added the response tags in the end of all articles. You can now just click one of the three responses. Naturally please feel free to leave a comment if you want to say something else.

You will also notice some additions in the side gadgets. I am starting a new “Mood of the day!” column in my blog to try and express how I feel on the specific day. It shows the colour of my mood (Sadly its blue today) and the song of my mood (Yup its MLTR’s Complicated Heart). Also you’ll find towards the end “Funny things to ponder”. It’s really funny guys and changes often. At the risk of sounding pompous, I’d say check this out regularly. :)

Nothing else for now. I do hope to write more meaningful things going forward and not just things related to my own life. I’m trying to make this blog interesting- so any comments or suggestions to help improve are always welcome.

I Love the New Indian Ads :)

Posted by astuti at 2:13 PM 3 comments

I love the fact that Indian ads are going places... There was a time when our Ad-men, tried to grab customer attention by being the loudest, craziest or funniest. They tried Indian desipunn' (:)) or simply-roped in the celebrities and hoped for the best! But lately we are seeing some really neat ads- that our appreciated not just by our sense of humor but our intelligence too! These are smart ideas that are oh-so-bright, have loads of attitude and are kissingly simple! Not to forget refreshing and soooo cute!

Some on my favourite ads being currently aired are:

Vodafone's busy message caller tune- Simply cute and a lovely ad, this is an effective ad which passes the message- rock solid! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2O9ok9Fz2A

Vodafone's Happy to help- Its a awww chooo chweet ad that has given rise to some really nice forwards and has the famous dog in it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB1UPJ4leqs

Airtel broadband @ 16 mbps- Impatience is the new life! I lurve the copy in this ad. Has to be called brilliant. It defines today's youth precisely in their very-own-lingo! It has given Impatience a positive connotation in my mind- which is truly remarkable! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0vVIw81bws

The new Rin ad- where the kid turns at the older man who's smriking at him 'coz he's on a bicycle and says "do paiyon ka difference hain uncle; aa jayenge!" Is another of the ads I love. It's a supremely confident attitude that positively speaks "I'll be what I aspire to be!" Simply superb! (just cant find the link to it!)

Limca's 'Haseen Lamhon ko chura lo!' has become iconic in its freshness! It is so refreshing that a Non-Limca drinker like me is almost tempted to try the drink. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgT7ueACtxw

There is also Cadbury's Aaj ek tarik hain or Fruity's music ad, which is nicely done! Really fresh in idea and very Indian in concept!

I can go on and on... but I think I must stop now... Please share ads that you love and have been missed out by me! Would love to hear from you.

Maya Angelou's Phenomenal woman- A salute!

Posted by astuti at 3:22 PM 4 comments
A friend of mine mailed me a poem and I insantly fell in love with it. It's so beautiful that I just had to share it with you and add my little bit about how it made me feel.

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them, they think I'm telling lies.
I say,It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman, that's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman, that's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say, It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman, Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman, that's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say, It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman, Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman, that's me.
-Maya Angelou

I was highly inspired by the spirit of this poet. Ahhh, I can just see the positive energy that just reverberates from every word she writes; the smile that would touch the lips of every woman who ever reads it; and the simple agelessness of the poem. To leave a mark in the hearts of so many people with such simple words is an awe inspiring activity. Something that just doesn't come easy but when it does come, it's here to stay!

Anyone would love to be the phenomenal woman described in this poem and live a life- so full of life! A life full of passion and charm and self worth! A life where you are confident in your being. Where you are in love with just that- being so phenomenal inside!

It's a poem that leaves you feeling nice and happy and positive- it's truly phenomenal!

Love or Something Like it!

Posted by astuti at 11:42 PM 2 comments

Sometimes Profound Love is found in a moment... Sometimes a lifetime of looking is not enough...

I am emotionally touched by the latest novel I read... One of my close friends gave it to me and asked me to read it... I am sure most of you must have already read it- it's quite a famous one actually but for some reason I never got around to reading it before. "Bridges of Madison County". The story is of an unusual but once-in-a-lot-of-lifetimes kindda lovestory between Francesca (the farmer's wife from Iowa) and Robert Kincaid (the National Geographic photographer).

The story moved me in ways that is hard to express. Let me try breaking it down for you... There were some lines that I completely loved in the book, and they had nothing to do with the lead characters falling in love.

"But it's not what I dreamed about as a girl"

"The dreams were good dreams, they didn't work out, but I'm glad I had them."

"This is why I'm here on this planet, at this time, Francesca. Not to travel or make pictures, but to love you. I know that now. I have been falling from the rim of a great high place, and through all those years, I have been falling towards you."

"As much as I want you and want to be a part of you, I cant tear myself away from the realness of my responsibilities"

"In a universe of Ambiguity, this kind of certainity comes only once, no matter how many lifetimes you live."

Wow! It really is the work of a true genius... Anyone who can capture emotions that well has to be called a genius. I am no-die-hard-romantic, but even I could feel the emotions that the characters went through- the pain... the agony... the yearning... the decision of responsibility over passion! All I can say is that it is a work of art that stirs something deep within and touches even the heart of a cynic. It is love, the way never told before. It is life itself!

While ending this, I can't help but remember these verses from a favourite song... "This is the beginning of your day, Life is more intricate than it seems, Always be yourself along the way, Living through the spirit of your dreams..."

Happy Birthday Astu!

Posted by astuti at 7:46 AM 6 comments
If I could wish something for myself, this birthday I would wish for peace in my heart, confusions out of my head, a fitter body and a happier soul. I want a change from the life as I know it now and want to strive to become a better individual. (cliche' but true!) If I'm being honest, I also want people to love me for being myself and understand what makes me tick. I want to be that special person who lights them up with just her presence. Oh and did I forget to say I wanna runaway? Yup at twenty six, that's exactly what I want to do.

I'm 26. Youth as we know it, is officially on it's way out. I'm on the other side of twenties. You are supposed to have had the best years of your life by now. The carefree years, where you have quite literally done it all. But when I look back at the list of "Ten things to do" I had made some years ago, I have not done too many still... Ok being positive let me first check the things I did manage-
PG Degree- check
Become an AVM- check
Dance class- check
Get a tattoo- check

Now for the things still pending...
Trip abroad
Learn an instrument
28" waistline
River rafting
Parasailing / scubadiving and
Seing snow.

It's funny, when I think of my "ideal life" I don't think about the company I work 3/4th of my life for, or the boss who upsets me with his disapproval. I don't think about the countless cribs I spend being stressed about or the baby I have been trying too hard to get. I do however think about the passion for music and travel that still lies in my heart, of harmony in my body and mind and true companionship.

I hate this self awareness that's irritating me right now like a popup in my brain's screen that just reads "What have you done to change things? Do you really love yourself?"

If I loved myself as much as the people I love, I would wish for me a greater self awareness, a stronger self respect, and an appetite for excitement. I'd wish the world conspires to make all my wishes come true.... :)

So I guess it's in my hands afterall. I can always make the changes. I can spend sometime falling in love with myself. I can take things in control and not loose sight of things I want to do. So here's wishing 2009-10 becomes the ideal year I turn back to, when I had it all and loved my life. The year when I finally fell in love... with myself ofcourse!

The New Voice of India...

Posted by astuti at 6:08 PM 1 comments

I love the New Voice of India. It's the Voice that wakes up fresh every morning ready to take on the world; its ever ready to take on challenges and is not afraid of being mis-interpreted.
In reality the voice of our generation has never been this loud. This voice does not complain or whine or make excuses. It leads by example, replacing apathy with empathy, disillusionment with belief, words with action. It’s a new India that awakens every morning and looks at itself with pride; an India that wants to live up to its glorious ideal of democracy. It is an India that has hope for a better future and wants to do something about it. Which is ready to take matters in its hands and not blame the government for everything wrong happening. It is spontaneous, filled with high energy and ready to compel people to take hard decisions. It manages a good balance between spontaneity and impulsiveness. And is ready to ask questions never asked before.

It's a voice that wants to be heard and is ready to scream in your ears if you aren't paying attention. I love this voice which is so alive; it gives you a high just listening. It's an energy, its spontaneity, its a wonderful way to live. What it means is we are living in the moment.

Welcome to this new generation. May this enthusiasm live forever. :)

Ode to an unusual friendship...

Posted by astuti at 7:57 AM 0 comments
There are many ways of loosing people. Some you loose when life as you know it, ends; some: when you don't find the time to remain in touch; while others 'coz things just don't work out! No matter why, loosing a good friend is always difficult.

Here's an ode to one such friendship.

When you laugh, it's contagious...
I just have to laugh along-side!
But these moments seemed to have been in the past
friendship with you, just didn't last.

We knew there was no future in all this,
risking everything we still didn't miss,
a single chance to enjoy destiny's hand
hoping people would learn to understand.

You moved me in ways that left a sign,
we spoke till your beliefs became mine
and I never stopped to think
how would life be when things just end.

The day did finally come,
when you were left to pick one;
you chose the right thing to do,
I understood and really didn’t miss
Its just sad it came to all this.

I hope you know now,
I always wished your best
Life is fun and I wish you only delight
I wish “He” would keep you in sight!

P.S:
It was a choice no one should make
for life’s not always as simple to shake!
